IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 14, 2024
The Getaway Weekend will now be held February 14-16, 2025.
The theme for the 2025 Getaway is “Quilting Makes Life Bearable.”
The Holiday Inn Canton (Belden Village) is the new confirmed venue for the 2025 Getaway. The venue is located beside Belden Village right off I-77. The Getaway Committee is busy in their planning and making all those great table favors. The Getaway proposed classes will be presented at the June meeting.
Registration is over half filled for the 2025 Getaway. Mark sure you get those registrations in early to ensure your class selection. Some additional class project photos will be posted for your reference.
NEW! Noon Scissor Sharpening will be on site on Saturday to sharp your scissors. The prices will be posted on the website. Also, Dennis from Somewhere Sewing will be on site Saturday and Sunday for general machine cleaning and maintenance. A machine cleaning and check-up will be $60.00.

The registration form and further information will be made available in the near future. In the meantime, review the proposed class list. We have a wonderful variety of classes being offered. NEORQC Getaway 2025 Challenge – Getaway 2024 attendees received a postcard size table runner picture with fabric requirements and instructions printed on the other side of the postcard. This was announced as the NEORQC 2025 GETAWAY Challenge. There were five different table runner designs distributed. The challenge is to completely finish and quilt the table runner on the postcard you received and bring it to the 2025 Getaway. Attendees will vote for their favorite table runner in each design category. Prizes will be awarded. NOTE: This challenge is separate from the “Zebra with a Kick” challenge.
